E-Learning Project Management and Documentation Guidelines

Abstract

This document outlines documentation and project management considerations for Defence organisations that are considering e-learning development, whether this is outsourced or developed in house. This document is complementary to DTSM5 and other DCTS issued documents that consider e-learning.

The document is split into several sections:

• The e-learning development lifecycle is outlined from two perspectives
• The e-learning development lifecycle within DSAT is considered, this includes coverage on issues connected with maintaining the integrity of the DSAT process when developing e-learning
• The decision criteria for choosing e-learning are outlined
• The key critical e-learning documentation required for project management is summarised
