Antoinette Caird-Daley BSc(Hons), BSc(Hons) Psych, MSc

Photograph of Antoinette Caird-DaleyAntoinette was awarded her first degree in Psychology by The Open University, and her MSc in Applied Psychology by Cranfield University . Upon completing her MSc in 2005 Antoinette joined the Department of Human Factors as a Researcher.

Antoinette is a member of the Defence Technology Centre research team, where her research activities include the use of simulator systems to supporting team and collective training, naturalistic decision making and serious gaming. Antoinette's research interests also include aircraft cabin safety where she has worked on a number of projects investigating factors influencing passenger evacuation from aircraft, and she contributes to the Flight Operations Research Centre of Excellence (FORCE).

Antoinette holds British Psychological Society qualifications in Occupational Testing (levels A and B Intermediate), and is registered as a Practitioner-In-Training of the Division of Occupational Psychology, working to become a Chartered Occupational Psychologist.

Prior to a career in Psychology, Antoinette was a Chartered Surveyor, specializing in the valuation and management of commercial property for institutional and private clients. Her first degree in Surveying was awarded by Nottingham Trent University . Antoinette is now drawing on this experience as she contributes to teaching on the Design of Work Environments modules of the MSc courses in Human Factors and Ergonomics.
