Dr Guy Walker - PhD, BSc Hons
Guy Walker gained his PhD in user centred design in 2002 from Brunel University,
through research conducted into driver performance using a simulated environment.
His research involved designing and constructing the Brunel University Driving
Simulator, and focused on feedback and situational awareness. Prior to this
he completed a BSc Honours degree in Psychology from Southampton University,
specialising in engineering psychology, statistics and psychophysics. Guy
has wide ranging experience in, and knowledge of human behaviour and cognition,
ergonomics methods, statistics and data collection in the field and in simulated
environments. Most recently Guy has been engaged as a human factors consultant
on a significant train protection and control research project for the Rail
Safety and Standards Board. He is also author of numerous journal articles
and book contributions.
