MBDA is the world's second largest manufacturer of guided weapon systems for Land,
Sea and Air environments and as such represents the major missile technology
capability of the leading industrial Western European nations. Human Factors
has long been recognised as a key component in any defence system and the UK
arm of the company has had a dedicated Human Factors Group since the mid 1960s.The MBDA Human Factors Group has been actively working on MANPRINT and Human Factors Integration since 1985, when the company was involved with one of the pilot projects for the US MANPRINT programme.
MBDA has had an internally funded research programme for MANPRINT/HFI running since 1988 to provide the company with the HFI tools and processes needed to produce complete systems.
